Bangkok: Palazzo Ristorante & Wine Bar

Sorry for being quiet these days. I have been busy. I know, cliché but it's still applicable. I was in high mood since 2 weeks ago, expecting good news. Turned out, it wasn't good news. It wasn't rejection that disappointed me, it was more like I'm upset with present stage of life. Anyhow, life goes on and I will try my best to overcome it.

A dinner at Palazzo last Saturday is the usual get-together with me and my NGO friends. We did heavy research on place we should go and finally came down to Palazzo for food wise. To be honest, it was a bit more high-end for us when it comes to their decorating. Yet, it was cozy.

Bread & Butter

Baked Lobster Soup

Me and D1 were the first to arrive, as usual. So we only ordered grilled vegetable with olive and balsamic dressing, spinach soup and baked lobster soup to try. The first taste of baked lobster soup was brilliant. I was liking that. However, the more you ate, the taste just got so strong. Too strong that it did give out tomato soup taste. Spinach soup was mild and I found it quite good (D1 wasn't approving though).

Grilled veggies were pleasant. I like everything in the plate esp. Shitake mushroom and bell peppers. Although the portion is quite big to finish by two of us.

The first drink I had was Mojito, very refreshing after a long day. Afterward, we opted for Prosecco with the help of very attentive staff in choosing wine.

Then D2 came, she ordered Fettucini with salmon and vodka sauce. It looked small, comparing with the side of dish but it wasn't. They also gave generous amount of salmon in the dish as well.

Crepe Suzette

Warm Chocolate Cake

We decided to make room for desserts tonight so we ordered Crepe Suzette and Warm Chocolate cake. They both were nice.

We finished off a bottle of Prosecco that night. In a way, that night was my sulking night. The night everyone told me to be patient and looked for new chapters in life. I guess, after all, nothing beats good friends and family who support you.
